25 Weeks

Big milestone this week! We have reached the point of viability! This means if anything goes seriously wrong from here on out the boys can be delivered and have a chance at making it. That being said, I sure hope that nothing goes wrong and they continue to cook and grow nice and strong! At the last growth appointment we were given an update on their sizes. Baby A is 1lb 5oz, Baby B is 1lb 4oz, and Baby C is a whopping 1lb 8oz! They are right on track for where they would be if it were a singleton pregnancy. Its such a relief every time we go to the doc and see strong heartbeats and see that they've grown. I feel so blessed that we've had no complications thus far. I updated the Ultrasound Page with their newest photos. Mitch and Nate posed nice for the camera but Eli was a stinker this go around and wouldn't turn around so we didn't get any good 4D shots of him. However, the last one of the bunch I posted is one I got a few days later at my regular OB appointment of Elias. Its not a 4D but we did catch him yawning! It was so cute to see in real time, the picture doesn't do it enough justice.

As for me, I am doing well though slowing down considerably each day. I have gained 22lbs (yay me!) and am measuring 42.5 inches in diameter. My hands and feet have started to swell slightly from time to time. And last week I passed a kidney stone, which hurt like hell. But overall, feeling good. Next Friday is my last day of work and I'm really looking forward to being able to rest full-time. Of course it also means I go down to just my disability pay so things will be a little tight for a few months. Though its a little scary, I have faith that God will provide and we will be just fine. He's gotten us this far! :)

The last couple weeks have been so busy. First we had Jordan's Birthday... I made a cake (see it here) and we had a party with his friends at a laser tag arcade center. Then Thanksgiving with Matt's family. I was glad not to have to cook this year, but I did make the green bean casserole and a pumpkin cheesecake. Yum! And then this last weekend we went and finished our Christmas shopping and decorated the house for the holiday. It looks so festive! We got a real tree, a small one since space is tight this year, and I just hope it stays alive until Christmas. I've never bought a real tree this early before. Matt also bought the triplets their very first ornament which I absolutely adore. I have the most amazing, thoughtful husband. :)

Well I've made it 23 weeks pregnant with the triplets! Thus far we've had no major complications and I haven't been put on bed rest. I plan to continue working until through Dec 10th and start my maternity leave thereafter. I am currently 41 inches in diameter and have gained about 18lbs. We were able to get some good ultrasound photos of the boys at our 22 week check up. You can see them here. Since we weren't able to get any good shots of Mitchell (Baby A) at our 20w I feel like I should post his shots here too so he doesn't feel left out. ;)
In the past couple weeks I have been able to network and meet several other triplet moms in the area which is great. I feel so lucky to have so many supportive people surrounding me. Thanks to one of those connections I was able to purchase a triplet stroller for a very reasonable price. Check it out...

Also in the last couple weeks we've been able to really get the nursery ready to hold babies! The nursery is small but will definitely get us by for awhile. We've got two cribs set up and have a third on order which will be set up in our bedroom when it gets here. Here are a few pics of the nursery as is...
My dear friend Amy stitched us a beautiful picture of three peas in a pod. Here is a close up...

We have another growth check with the perinatolgist on Friday. Its the long appointment where they measure every single bone and major organ in each of the babies to make sure everything is growing right. The process is a bit long and grueling but I am so looking forward to the results. It will mark my 24week milestone and hopefully mean we are out the woods having to worry about the chance of Twin-to-Twin Syndrome. Also, given that I haven't gained that much weight overall I am anxious to make sure the boys are still keeping up with their growth rate regardless.

So that's it for our update! Thanks for reading :)

This weekend we had our baby shower and it was so wonderful! Thank-you to my mom for making it happen! We had about 40 people show up, many of which I hadn't seen in quite some time. It was awesome! We hosted it at Carrabbas Italian Grill in Palm Harbor and I highly recommend this establishment! The price was reasonable and they were so helpful and accomodating. Because they don't open until 3pm we had the place to ourselves for nearly 3 hours! The food was fantastic. I ordered the cakes from Publix and they turned out great too. Here's some pics...
We played a few games but the most popular was gift bingo! We got so many nice gifts. The next day when I was going through them all I actually started crying thinking about how kind and generous my friends and family are. We got a ton of clothes, bibs, hats, socks. Matt's aunt made me a beautiful quilt. We got 3 boppy pillows, blankets, cloth diapers, towels, healthcare items like q-tips and ointments and bath soap. We were given this really awesome baby bath tub that is a spa with bubble and a sprayer. Matt's brother got us a Yankees diaper bag that is so great. We got a baby monitor, wipe warmer, gift cards, it just went on and on! I am so thankful for everyone's generosity. This is the baby's room after the shower...

So thanks to everyone who made it and thanks to those of you who couldn't make it but sent gifts and whatnot. I truly am overwhelmed with the love and outreach of the our family and friends, both near and far! These babies are really blessed!
